Philippe Beau is one of the founders of the BEAU INSTITUTE, and a member of its esteemed faculty as a professor who started his career teaching economics in Bordeaux, France, in the 80’s.

Philippe Beau is originally from France where he received a degree in Business (major in statistics) and one in English from the University of Bordeaux. He moved to Florida in 1984, and was granted a Bachelor degree in Human Development by prestigious Eckerd College, a Master’s in Management by the University of Phoenix, and a PhD in Organizational /Industrial Psychology by Preston University. He was the recipient of the Irving G. Foster award for best academic performance at Eckerd College, and has taught Teamwork Dynamics to adult learners at SPC (St Petersburg College).

Aside from his professorship, Philippe's professional experience encompasses managing the Market Research Department for a large European home builder in the late 70s, to managing a real estate development company in Florida in the 80s and 90s, and managing his own consulting company called American Land Planning & Management since 1988. He received the 1998 Florida's Best Urban Redevelopment Project Award for the design and completion of a mixed-used project. Philippe is currently working on Workforce Housing projects for nonprofit organizations in Florida such as the Bright Community Trust in the field of new development, and in acquisitions with Klein and Heuchan. He serves on several community and non-profit boards.

He then decides in 2013 to create the "Business Education American Urban Institute", a non-profit organization offering a cultural, educational and professional exchange program for French students in the Tampa Bay area in Florida, the region where he had settled a few decades earlier.
